Soil Health and Stewardship field Day with David Marsh!

Food: Morning tea and lunch will be provided.


Come along, invite your neighbours, and hear from David Hardwick, one of Australia's leading experts on soils and how to restore them to health.


David Hardwick: David is an agroecologist with over 20 years of experience in rural landscapes, farming, and food systems. He develops and delivers many of the extension projects for Soil Land Food across Australia.


  Topics for the day

  • What is soil health, and why is it important
  • 3 dimensions to soil health - physical, biological and chemical
  • 4 steps to success - measure, assess, manage and monitor
  • Taking a holistic approach - using the Soil HASH tool


Participants can bring at least one 20cm cube of soil from their property.

and can also bring along a soil test for discussion.
